About Color In Spaces

Color In Spaces is a podcast featuring People of Color engaging in non-stereotypical professions, tasks, or performing extraordinary services. The goal is to seek out, interview, and highlight such persons and share with the world their challenges, optimisms, contributions, and presence in the fields in which they occupy. 

The hosts of the podcast are Ali and Om. 

Ali, best known as Ali Bey is a complex and curious creator, musician and solid human being. You can learn more about Ali Bey here ( http://www.iamalibey.com/ ).

Om, short for Omorphy is a multidisciplinary creative personality working in different mediums, photography, music, technology, and whose origins hail from the Caribbean.

Inspiration:

Every time I, Om, see a person of color performing extraordinary tasks I would grab the link to their story and send it to my niece and nephew. As young people of color, I think it is my duty to show them possibilities that are not generally shown in media outside of sports, entertainment, healthcare, and service work.

With a few years executing this practice I decided why not start a podcast highlighting People of Color representing in other worlds and share with a wider audience- you. And this sparked the birth of Color In Spaces Jan 2021.
